They say that moving to the country can bring about positive change.
One of the major changes I've experienced since moving to the country is that I'm far more motivated to get out and about and exercise. To just get up off my seat and go for a walk.
When I lived in the city I wanted to go for walks, but walking about surrounded by traffic, aircraft, noise and pollution never really held that much appeal to me.
When I took holidays, I often went away to the country to refresh and recharge, and to literally breath "clean country air".
Now I live in the country I regularly go for walks, because I only have to step outside my door to be in the beautiful Australian countryside.

A side effect of this change is that I've also rediscovered my love of photography, as there are so many interesting things to photograph.
So when I came across the sun shining through the top of a tree like some benevolent Eye of Sauron (top image) the other day, I took it as a sign to finally get my act together and start this publication that I've been procrastinating about for the past year.
Life is quite different in regional areas, and while I'd often heard that in the past, I'd never really understood how different it is until I made the move.
So my hope here is to share my discoveries, experiences and thoughts on what it's like to live in the Northern Tablelands region of NSW, Australia.
It's country life, through the eyes of someone who grew up in a city.
